Classical Ballet is exciting, demanding and inspiring. Children benefit greatly from classical ballet training. The benefits include improved confidence, improved strength in muscles especially in the legs, feet, stomach and back, increased stamina, greater flexibility, better balance and control, improved co-ordination and better posture. The Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Syllabus has been developed to provide a comprehensive training both for children and teenagers who wish to dance for pleasure and for those who wish to pursue a professional career.
Toddlers Dance and Groove - for children from 15 months - 3 years. Fun filled music and movement classes for toddlers and their parents. The classes aim to improve co - ordination and basic movement skills whilst teaching rhythm, musicality and basic dance techniques. The classes help to build the Toddler's confidence and they enable the children to interact with each other and with their parents in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Pre School Ballet - Children are taken for ballet classes from 3 years of age. The classes are carefully structured to inspire young children, to make them aware of their bodies and how they move. The classes will help to improve your child's co-ordination, muscular control, strength and posture. The classes will also help your child to interact with other children through movement Pre Primary to Grade 8 - Children from 5 years of age are taught the Royal Academy of Dance grades which include ballet, character and free movement dance. Examinations may be taken and certificates and medals are awarded at each level. Intermediate Foundation to Advanced - These vocational graded classes are aimed at children from 10 years of age. The classes include Pointe work and are a great stepping stone on the way to a professional career in dance. Adult Ballet - Fun, relaxed classes for those who may have danced years ago or for people completely new to Ballet, a great way to improve muscle tone, co ordination, stamina and general fitness
